Megan Nicolay has refashioned T-shirts since she won an Earth Day T-shirt contest at age 9. Her winning T-shirt broadcasted her hopes to “keep the earth alive.” She has written two bestselling books, Generation T: 108 Ways to Transform a T-shirt (Workman, 2006) and Generation T: Beyond Fashion: 120 New Ways to Transform a T-shirt (Workman, 2009). Megan lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband, cat, sewing machine and an overflowing cache of rescued secondhand T-shirts.
