Brett Bara is the author of the book Sewing in a Straight Line (Potter Craft, 2011), as well as craft blogger and designer. She writes the "Sewing 101" column for the popular blog Design Sponge. Brett is the host of the PBS television series Knit and Crochet Now and is the former editor-in-chief of Crochet Today magazine. She has been sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafting all her life; her current obsessions include DIY decorating and making Jello molds. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
